Darren is senior instructor in the hampshire area and currently holds a 5th degree black sash in kung fu and a 2nd dan black belt in kickboxing.
He has been training with phoenix martial arts since 1991 and has been successfully teaching his own clubs since 1995. In the 20 years darren has been teaching he has taught 3 of the current pma instructors james brooks, richard barnett and tom hayward who now all run their own classes.
Over the years has trained regularly with master instructor stephen brooks and senior instructor anthony claydon.
He has competed successfully for many years winning numerous competitions along with producing some also high achieving fighters, super league grand champions and national champions.
Darren currently runs three classes per week all held hartley wintney, where he teaches both junior and senior students.
Today Phoenix schools of Martial Arts is popularising the enjoyable and exciting sport of kickboxing. Striving to set new goals and challenges, whether fighting for charity, winning at tournaments or helping students to achieve their ambitions
