Master instructor steven brooks, 7th dan karate, is head of phoenix martial arts, one of the most respected and successful martial arts organisations in the uk.
Steven had his first full contact bout in 1985 and in the same year established phoenix schools of martial arts. This signalled the start of a illustrious teaching and fighting career that would comprise winning the martial arts illustrated championships, fighting in the clash of the titans, gaining four national karate championships, one national kata championship and two national kickboxing championships.
A senior instructor for the e.K.G.B and qualified to teach self-defence by the martial arts commission, steven has taught and trained both the police and army personnel. In 1992 he fought 101 black belts for charity and has through his association raised over a quarter of a million pounds for charities in th uk an achievement he is immensely proud of.
